The best day of our lives. Thank you to all of our family and friends that celebrated our big day with us! Let me just tell you a few things that we loved about our backyard wedding. I’m sure many of you have probably looked at different venues and have been shocked by the price of a wedding these days, we were too. We were so thankful that our Pastor’s family let us use their beautiful house and yard for an affordable yet gorgous wedding venue.

The Ceremony

The Food

The food seems to be the biggest expense in the wedding business. For example, we toured a beautiful wedding venue in San Diego, California and the food and beverage minimum for 75 guests (including us) was over $17,000! I personally think that is insane, but I understand they do it because people end up paying that price so why not. Let me tell you about our solution, a food truck. We ended up going with The Habit Food truck, which was $2,000 for a minimum of 135 people. This was perfect for us because it provided everyone with a nice, filling meal but was also simple, just like we like it.

Bounce House

Having a white bounce house at our wedding was something we just had to have. It made for some fun times and great pictures. There are many wedding bounce houses available now, if you live in or near the High Desert I definitely recommend using Inflate High Desert.

The Cake!

The Cake Shop in Apple Valley, California did not disappoint with this cake. We had a three tiered cake with delicious flavors on each tier. I definitely think we ate more cake during the cake tasting than we did at the actual wedding but all of our guests said it was a hit and there was none left.

Next off.. Honeymoon!

Thank you so much to our friends and family that helped our dreams come to life. I truly wish I could relive this day over and over again, it was amazing. As soon as all of the festivities were done we were onto the next best thing… OUR HONEYMOON!! Keep a look out for that next post coming out in a few days.
